Babies - Younger 4 year olds & Pre-K - Kindergarten

There is a variety of check in and check out procedures used by churches. We have attempted to develop one that will be simple to understand, easy for volunteers to administer, and takes into account the physical limitations of our current facility. The following is a summary for how the process will work.

Babies - Younger 4 year olds

CHECK IN - Parents and children will ENTER the west entrance of the nursery/preschool department. This is the entrance closest to the worship center. A check in desk is located inside the preschool department.

After CHECK IN - The parents will EXIT the east door, located by the stairway in our foyer. The east door will not be accessible to enter the preschool area, only to exit. The intention is to have a one-way flow of traffic through the preschool department and avoid any bottleneck at the check in area.

PICK UP - To pick up your child you will ENTER the west entrance and show the parents' portion of the three part form. You and your child should then exit the east door. It will minimize congestion if only one parent checks in and checks out your child. Any sibling doing check in and check out must be a minimum of 14 years old and must have the parent's portion of the three part form.

Pre-K - Kindergarten

CHECK IN - Parents and children will ENTER at the end of the Church Office hall as you enter the SBEC building. The check in desk is located at the beginning of the SBEC hallway. A three part form will be completed by the parents (copy attached). One part is placed on the child's back, one part is attached to the diaper bag, and one part is kept by the parent. The three-part form will be quick and simple to fill out. It will have a number that will appear on the worship center screen if you are needed by the volunteers.

After CHECK IN - Parents will escort child to the appropriate classroom in the SBEC Enrichment hallway.

PICK UP - Parents will pick up child after services in the classroom and show the parents' portion of the three part form. Any sibling doing check in and check out must be a minimum of 14 years old and must have the parent's portion of the three part form.
